Runners have so far raised over $25,000 for local charities and other local beneficiaries including the Lost Fishermen’s Memorial Association, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Campobello Island Recreation Council, the Lubec Community Outreach Center, the schools on Campobello Island and in Lubec, and the Campobello Island and Lubec Community Food Banks.

The beneficiary of choice for 2018 is the Campobello Island Community Food Bank. The Campobello Island Community Food Bank, locally known as “The Clothes Line” serves islanders in need with both food and clothing and is operated on a purely voluntary basis by members of the community. Some of these volunteers will also be staffing a water station on marathon day.
