Charities

Runners raise over $5,000 a year for local charities and other local beneficiaries including the Lost Fishermen’s Memorial Association, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Campobello Island Recreation Council, the Charlotte County Cancer Society, the Lubec Community Outreach Center, the schools on Campobello Island and in Lubec, and the Campobello Island and Lubec Community Food Banks.

Campobello Island and Lubec Community Food Banks:  Since 2015 the primary beneficiaries of choice for direct runner contributions have been the Campobello Island and Lubec Community Food Banks. These are operated by volunteers and serve people in need with both food and clothing. Op with contributions alternating every year. Their volunteers also often staff a water station on race day.  Contributions alternate by year as follows:

2017 – Lubec Community Food Bank

2018 – Campobello Island Community Food Bank

2019 – Lubec Community Food Bank

2010 – Campobello Island Community Food Bank

etc.
