This unique Canada to USA course starts at Cook’s Point on Campobello Island, Canada, and joins the marathon course after approximately 600 metres / 1/3 of a mile. Runners proceed north for approximately 5 kms / 3 miles to turn at the northern tip of Campobello Island and then run south down the entire length of the island and across the international Franklin Delano Roosevelt Bridge into the USA to finish on the Lubec waterfront. Please note that the course is hilly and challenging.
On-course markers will be in 1-km increments only.

Please note that the elevation chart shown on Google maps doesn’t seem to register hills less than about 45 metres / 150 ft and therefore the listed elevation gain is incorrect. Actual measurement on the course generates an elevation profile as shown below with a total gain of 243 metres / 800 feet.
Porta-potties are located at the school parking area, the start, the finish, and at various points along the course.
Water and gatorade stations are less than 2 miles / 3.2 kms apart.
There will be shuttle buses from the school to the start as there is no private vehicular parking in the start area on race morning. There will be no buses back to the starting area from the finish.
There will be a bag drop at Lubec School as runners board the buses. On the bus and during the race, but only on the bus and during the race, your race bib serves as your passport. Anything taken on the bus must be removed from the bus at the start. Passports and other documents should be left in your accommodation (if staying in the USA after the race) or in locked private vehicles at the school or in the secure bag drop. Runners coming from Campobello to Lubec School will need their passports to enter the USA before the race. Dropped bags can be reclaimed in the Finish Area only on presentation of a race bib.
Lubec school is less than half a mile from the finish line, but there will be shuttle buses to it at the end of the race. There will be no buses back to the starting area.
